Several high-ranking members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) are to take up their new appointments tomorrow.

The transfers were announced by Commissioner of Police Owen Ellington on the weekend.

In one of the biggest changes, Assistant Commissioner Devon Watkis, who headed the Area One Police, will take over as head of the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB).

He replaces Assistant Commissioner Gervais Taylor, after his brief stint at the CIB, and who is being transferred to the Office of the Commissioner.

Senior Superintendent Terrence Bent, who headed the volatile Kingston West Police Division, will move to the Police Staff College, in St Catherine.

Another notable change is the transfer of Senior Superintendent Michael James to head the Area Four Police.
