CRICKET: West Indies cricketers travel to T&T today

West Indies cricketers are scheduled to depart Jamaica today for the second leg of the Tri-Nation Series in Trinidad and Tobago (T&T).

The T&T leg, which starts on Friday with West Indies facing India, comprises four matches including the final on July 11.

The Caribbean team won its two matches in Jamaica, the second victory coming yesterday courtesy of a one-wicket victory over ICC World Cup 50-over champions India.

Hard-hitting batsman Kieron Pollard, who led West Indies for the first time in an international match, says the one-wicket victory speaks volumes of the strength of the team.

The Jamaica’s leg of the series will end tomorrow with Sri Lanka facing India at Sabina Park.
