Dozens arrested in Clarendon police-military operation

Approximately 100 persons have been taken into custody in an ongoing police-military operation in York Town, Clarendon.


The operation which began at 1 a.m. is still ongoing.

Superintendent of Police for May Pen, Michael Scott, says some of those taken into custody are persons of interest.

Some residents have expressed satisfaction with the combined efforts of the law enforcement officials as there have been a flare-up of violence in the area in recent weeks.
