Tax payment form for self-employed persons coming

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ), says a single tax payment form is to be introduced for self-employed persons by December 31.

The TAJ says the effort involves collaboration with the National Housing Trust and the National Insurance Scheme.

The new S03 form will allow self-employed persons and individuals to complete and submit a single form to make quarterly payments for income, education taxes as well as NHT and NIS contributions.

This form can be filed at any of the 29 tax offices located across the island or online.

The first quarterly statutory payment using the new S03 will become due on March 15, next year.

After that, quarterly payments will be due June 15, September 15 and December 15.

The TAJ says the latest move is part of efforts by the Government to amalgamate the filing and payment of statutory taxes and contributions, with the aim of making it easier to do business.
