A 41-year-old St Elizabeth clergyman is set to return to the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court court on June 3, 2014, on extended bail, on the charge of indecent assault.

The clergyman was taken into custody in May following months of investigations stemming from allegations that he had assaulted his 15-year-old son.

Reports are that the boy informed his mother that his father assaulted him over a period up to December last year.

It is also recorded in a statement given to the police that on one occasion the son was awakened after feeling a hand inside his pants.
