The presiding judge at the Vybz Kartel murder trial, Justice Lennox Campbell, has appealed to the 12-member jury for patience as the court continues to hear testimony in their absence.

The jury has been out of court since last Thursday.

When they turned up this morning Justice Campbell informed them that cybercrimes expert Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton was still giving evidence and as such they could not be in the courtroom.

Prosecutors say the testimony from Detective Sergeant Linton, who was the head of the Police Forensic and Cybercrimes Unit at the Organised Crime Investigation Division, is of a sensitive nature and have asked that members of the public, including the media, be removed from the courtroom.

The court is to determine what aspects of the policemanís testimony will be heard by the jury.

In addressing the jury today Justice Campbell stressed that the court is trying its best to wrap up the hearing and effort is being made not to inconvenience them any further.

The jury was then asked to return to court on Friday.

Kartel is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell also known as Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, Shane Williams and Andre St John for the August 16, 2011 murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.

Williams was allegedly killed in relation to two missing guns.
