President, Jamaica Hotel & Tourism Association (JHTA) Evelyn Smith says members are well-prepared for the Winter Tourist Season.

The season begins on Sunday.

Smith says the accommodation sector as well as tourist attractions are eagerly awaiting the start of the season.

She noted that while the season officially begins on December 15, members are expecting things to get a little busier just before the Christmas Holidays into January and February next year.

The JHTA President says the pace of bookings for next year is also progressing well.

Smith is urging all stakeholders to ensure that they facilitate a comfortable environment in which tourists will enjoy their stay and feel compelled to return to Jamaica.
