The National Security Minister Peter Bunting says there is no truth to claims that there have been cuts in the number of personnel in the security forces.

He says the Jamaica Constabulary Force is the largest it has ever been.

Bunting says for the last two years, more than 1,000 new police recruits have been trained at what he called an unprecedented pace in Jamaica’s history.

He also said more has been spent in the last three years to replace the old fleet of vehicles used by the JCF.

The minister of National Security says investments in programmes such as the Citizen Security and Justice Programme have put more resources in national security.
