Employers urged to make salary payments through banks

Published: Friday December 20, 2013 | 10:16 am Comments 0

The police are advising employers to use banks through their direct deposit payment methods to make salary payments to workers.

The police are making the call as they try to minimise incidents of robbery and pick-pocketing during the Christmas season.

The police say direct deposit of salaries to bank accounts will help to reduce the likelihood of persons carrying around large sums of cash.

They note that such persons can easily become the victims of robberies by lurking criminals.
