Jamaica’s star voice Tessanne Chin returns to the island today.
Chin, who upstaged some of the United States best singers by copping season five of American reality television singing competition – 'The Voice', will be met by Minister of Tourism and Entertainment, Dr Wykeham McNeill and other government officials at the Norman Manley International Airport.
Her return to the Jamaican soil follows several interviews on US television yesterday, where she admitted to being anxious to get home in order to eat some good Jamaican food.
Chin has been described as a true ambassador for Brand Jamaica by McNeill.
Junior Minister Damion Crawford who has responsibility for entertainment, said, Chin was a perfect example of the great things that can be achieved when people dare to dream big.
“You are an inspiration to other young people to challenge themselves to achieve greatness on the international stage,” while congratulating her on her win.
