Police seek help to identify body

The police in Westmoreland are seeking the public's help to identify the body of a man that was found in bushes in Springfield in the parish.

The body was discovered yesterday afternoon about 4:30 by residents.

The police say the body had gunshot wounds to the abdomen. It is of dark complexion, medium build, sports a rastafarian hairstyle and is about 5 feet, nine inches long. It was clad in a pair of black short pants, black and red hooded jacket and a pair of black shoes.

Anyone with information that may assist in identifying the body or that may assist in solving the crime is being asked to call 792-9269, the Westmoreland CIB 955-2758, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
