Police question St James man linked to murders of baby mother, infant

ST JAMES, Jamaica:
Police investigators have questioned the man been held in relation to the murders of his 20-year-old baby mother and their four-month-old son in St James.


The man, was taken into custody on Sunday.

Melissa Evans and her infant son Jeliana Green were found dead near a National Water Commission pump station in St James last Friday.

Investigators say forensic analysis is still being carried out.

The police say Evans was found with her throat slashed and her head partially severed.

The body of her four-month-old son was discovered in a tank.

It is reported that the mother and son went to buy ice cream but did not return home.

A missing persons report was filed and a day later their bodies were found.
