KINGSTON, Jamaica:
Texaco gas station operators islandwide are restive as they say they are uncertain about the future of their businesses.

The operators are also upset that the lease agreements for three of their colleagues have not been renewed by GB Energy, the local operator of Texaco, Jamaica.

The lease agreements for the three operators expired on December 31 last year.

Jamaica Gasolene Retailers' Association President, Derrick Thompson, says the association has been in consultations with members who have indicated that they are disappointed with the actions of GB Energy.

Thompson says three dealers are yet to vacate the premises as they have nowhere to go.

However, according to Thompson, the JGRA continues to agitate for compensation for the dealers.

Thompson says it is too earlier to indicate what action the association may take to register its protest.

The JGRA President, says other Texaco dealers are concerned about their lease agreements with GB Energy.

Thompson says the agreements expired on November 30 but were extended by the company to February 28.

He says the JGRA wants the company to renew the lease agreements by the end of this month.

GB Energy has declined to comment on the ongoing dispute.
