The mandatory title fight between Jamaica's Nicholas Walters, the World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight champion and South Africa-born featherweight super champion Simpewe Vetyeka has been scrapped.
The WBA had ordered the fight to take place by April 5.
However, the fight was scrapped after the connection of Vetyeka successfully argued against the fight taking place now.
Vetyeka pulled off one of the biggest upsets in boxing last year when he dethroned long-time super champion Chris John on December 6 in Australia.
John was unbeaten up to that time and went into the fight with a record of 48 victories and 18 successful title defences.
Bob Arum, who promotes Walters, had no problem with the change.
