Jamaicaís top shooter, Romelda Aiken, has been ruled out of the Sunshine Girls tri-nation series against host England and New Zealand with a knee injury.

Aiken, who was expected to lead the Sunshine Girls attack for the highly competitive series, which begins on January 17th at the Wembley Stadium in London, reportedly suffered the injury during a training session last week.

The former Most Valuable Player of the ANZ Netball Championships, played in both New Zealand and Australia with the Queensland Firebirds and is regarded as one of the best shooters in the world.

Marva Bernard, president of Netball Jamaica, said Aikenís absence is a major blow for the team, but she is very optimistic that her replacement will do well.
