$500,000 ganja seizure made on Higway 2000, three arrested

Three men were arrested this morning following a $500,000 ganja seizure in the vicinity of the Vineyards Toll booth on Highway 2000 in St Catherine.

The men were arrested by the Ferry Police at a vehicular check point.

The police say about 5:30 this morning they were on duty and signaled the driver of a Toyota Sprinter motor car to stop.

The driver complied, the vehicle was searched and approximately 100 pounds of ganja was allegedly found in plastic bags in the vehicle.

The three men aboard the vehicle were subsequently arrested and are to be questioned in the presence of their attorneys.
