West Indies One Day International (ODI) captain Dwayne Bravo is set to become the new skipper of Trinidad and Tobago for the upcoming Super 50 tournament.
Media reports from Port-of Spain say Bravo, currently on duty with the West Indies team in New Zealand, takes over from wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin.
Ramdin has been leading the team since Daren Ganga was removed two years ago.
The Guardian Newspaper has reported that national selectors made a recommendation to the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board on the basis of Bravo being the current captain of the West Indies ODI side.
The squad for the Super 50 tournament is expected to be released this week.
