Court next week for teen caught with gun in St James

A 14-year-old St James schoolboy arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition is to appear in court next Monday.

The boy was arrested in Barrett Town, St James yesterday.

The Barrett Town police say about 2 o’clock, the teen was accosted by a policeman, after he was seen acting suspiciously.

The police say they searched the bag he was carrying and a 9mm Luger pistol with a magazine containing eight 9mm rounds seized.
