Veniece Pottinger-Scott has been appointed the new Director General of the Public Sector Transformation and Modernisation in the Office of the Cabinet.

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister says the appointment takes effect on January 13.

The Public Sector Transformation and Modernisation division is an amalgamation of the Public Sector Transformation Unit (PSTU), previously headed by Patricia Sinclair-McCalla, and the Public Sector Modernisation Division.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Prime Minister says the consultative monitoring group established to oversee the work of the PSTU in developing the proposals toward the Master Rationalisation Plan will be replaced by a new body, the Public Sector Transformation Committee.

“The appointment of a Director General along with the organizational changes indicated, is a reflection of the determination of the Government to move forward the important task of public sector transformation and renewal,” said the Office of the Prime Minister in the statement.
