Mayor of St Thomas, Ludlow Mathison, is calling for farmers in the vicinity of the Morant Bay Roundabout to exercise greater control over their animals.

He says several animals, including cows and goats, have been responsible for the destruction of newly planted flowers at the site.

Mathison is calling for the farmers in the Morant Bay area to exercise their civic duty and put their animals in pens or tie them.

The St Thomas Parish Council had undertaken the planting of flowers and general upkeep of the Roundabout as part of its Beautification Program.
