Jewellery robberies up in Spanish Town, mayor appeals for police help

Spanish Town Mayor Norman Scott is appealing for the police to deal with the problem of jewellery and cell phone robberies across St Catherine.

Deputy Superintendent of police Herold Newton told the mayor that the police are aware of the problem.

He said the police will do their best to address the concerns, but appealed to persons not to brandish their valuables.
