West Indies Twenty20 all-rounder Christopher Barnwell has been appointed skipper of the Guyana team for the Sper50 tournament.
The 27-year-old Barnwell, who has appeared in 17 List A matches for Guyana, will lead the 14-man squad that includes West Indies batting trio Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who has been appointed vice-captain, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Narsingh Deonarine.
Former national Under-19 opener Robin Bacchus is the lone newcomer in the team, with fellow left-hander Trevon Griffith being the other opener in the squad.
