For Valentine's Day this year, Cecil's Restaurant located at 35 Martin Street, Spanish Town, St Catherine, has added a dark flavour to its celebration.

In addition to its everyday offerings that are already getting a buzz, Cecil's will be providing Chicken Lo Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Curried Shrimp served with plain rice.

"We are also adding the Black Forest Cake with chocolate syrup, among other novelties for those who need something with a difference," restaurant supervisor Shanielle Smith said.

Food was told the restaurant decided to add black to the traditional red and white setting to show its uniqueness.

"We are loving the difference that this restaurant is making ... more affordable to us," said a customer.

Now in the third staging of Red Carpet Affair come February 14, patrons will be served dinner, dessert and wine for a minimum of $1,500 and a maximum of $2,000.
