Incumbent president of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), Christopher Zacca, said he will not be seeking re-election to the post when the Council meets on December 18.

Zacca, in making known his intention at the annual general meeting of the PSOJ at the Knutsford Court Hotel, New Kingston, on Thursday, said that he believed that leaders should make room for renewal within any organisation.

He has served as PSOJ president for five years - 2006 to 2009 and 2012 to 2014.

Members expressed gratitude to Zacca for his service and outstanding performance over the years.

At the meeting, members elected 20 companies, 25 associations and five individuals to serve for a two-year period on the organisation's 50 member Council.

As the governing body, the Council sets the PSOJ's policies and elects each year from amongst its members, the president and executive committee.
