Two Jamaicans to train at Sunderland

Jamaica and Suriname each received two picks among the eight players named from the Digicel Kick Start Clinic series for a training stint with English Premier league side Sunderland later this year.

Omar Holness and Paul Wilson from Jamaica and Ruiz Dillon Fromoredio and Bruce Julianto Diporedjo from Suriname were named for the September trip to Sunderland.

The other players selected were Diquan Adamson from Barbados, Esso Amichy from Haiti, Kieron Phillips from St Kitts and Trinidad and Tobago’s Ryan Frederick.

The players were selected by former Reggae Boyz’ coach John Barnes, following the second Digicel Kick Start Clinic that ended in St Kitts yesterday.

The Digicel Kick Start Clinic, which started in Jamaica, were conducted in six Caribbean Countries by the Jamaica-born former England international Barnes. 150 players took part in the Clinics.
