England against Australia in second Ashes

James Anderson bowled hosts England into a winning position in the second test at Lords today, taking four wickets to help reduce Australia to 156-8 before bad light stopped play on day two.

Australia are still 70 runs short of the follow-on target and 269 behind England\'s first-innings 425.

Anderson ended with figures of 4-36 from 17 overs, while Stuart Broad has taken 2 wickets with Andrew Flintoff and Graham Onions claiming one apiece.

Mike Hussey has so far top scored for Australia with 51, while Simon Katich got 48 and Brad Haddin 28.

Earlier, England resuming on 364 for six lost captain Andrew Strauss for 161 off the second ball of the day. However, the hosts got over the 400-mark after Anderson, 29, and Onions, 17 not out, put on 47 in 53 balls for the last wicket.

Ben Hilfenhaus ended as the leading wicket taker for Australia with 4-103, supported by Mitchell Johnson 3-132 and Peter Siddle 2-76.
