The five athletes who returned positive tests for a banned substance at the National Senior Trials in June will have their hearings today.

The Trials was used to select Jamaica’s 46-member team to the World Championships in Berlin, Germany.

The World Championship will run from August 15 to 23 and the deadline for final entries is 5.00pm today.

The five athletes, four men and a woman were expected to have their hearings on Saturday, but it was postponed to today.

Chairman of the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission disciplinary committee, Kent Gammon, said the hearing would start this morning.

After the hearings, JADCO will forward its findings to the International Association of Athletics Federations and the World Anti-Doping Agency.
