Jamaican-born athlete out of Britain’s team for Berlin

Jamaican-born Olympic high jump runner-up Germaine Mason has been ruled out of Britain\'s team for this month\'s world championships in Berlin, Germany because of an ankle injury.

The World Championships will take place from August 15 to 23.

UK Athletics says the 26-year-old Mason was hurt competing in Stockholm last week.

Mason competed for Jamaica for several years. However, in 2006 he switched allegiance and now represents Britain.
