Man jailed for defacing poster

A man has been sentenced to jail for a month for allegedly breaching the Zimbabwe\'s electoral laws, when he destroyed a poster.



According to Zimbabwe\'s Herald newspaper, the man destroyed an election poster of Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe.



He was arrested after witnesses reported him to the police.



He has reportedly been jailed until after the March 29 election.



A section of Zimbabwe’s electoral law prohibits the destruction or defacement of campaign materials.
