Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after they tried to run down two armed police officers in south London.

The officers were reportedly responding to a call in Badric Court, Battersea, about men carrying firearms.

The officers said they were hit as they approached the parked vehicle.

According to the police, one officer fell under the car and was dragged for five to six feet, while the other went over the car’s bonnet.

The police said three other officers were injured after the car collided with a stationary Armed Response vehicle, while the teenagers were trying to flee the scene.
