Jamaica, sent to bat by the Windward Islands, reached 74 for two at lunch on the opening day of their Carib Beer sixth-round match at the Alpart Sports Club in Nain, St. Elizabeth.



Brenton Parchment on 16 and Danza Hyatt on 4 are the batsmen back in the pavilion.



Captain Chris Gayle on 42 and his West Indies teammate Marlon Samuels on 10 are the not out batsmen.



Jamaica, the tournament leaders on 46 points, need a victory to win the title outright.



In Barbados, Combined Campuses and Colleges batting against Trinidad and Tobago reached 64 for five at the lunch interval. Ravi Rampaul has so taken three for 22 and Amit Jaggernauth two for 15.



In US Virgin Islands, the Leeward Islands sent to bat by Guyana, reached 118 for four at Sports Time with Steve Liburd on 25 and Orlando Peters on at the crease.
