Ja’s Netball team to represent Youth Championships

A 12-member team will represent Jamaica at the 2008 Caribbean Netball Association Under-16 tournament in Antigua and Barbuda next month.



Nine teams will compete in the tournament slated for April 4 to 11. The teams are placed in two groups.



Hosts Antigua and Barbuda will play in Group One with six-time champions and current titleholders Jamaica, Montserrat, Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago.



Group Two includes Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and St. Lucia.



Jamaica’s team includes four shooters. They are Marvadean Anderson, Alana Chambers, Deneen Taylor and Sammantha White.



The Center Court players are Brittni Bent, Candice Bryan, Shantelle Campbell and Shanique Miller.



The remaining players are defenders Ashley Henry, Shanice Lee, Sheeresha Richards and Vangelee Williams.
