Rory Brown wins first-ever legends race

Rory Brown won the first-ever Exotic Stone Creation Legends and Veterans Jockeys race at Caymanas Park today when he piloted the 5 to 2 choice MILESTONE to a fighting victory.

The three-year-old dark bay filly, trained by Percy Hussey, won the 800-metre straight event in a driving finish from the 6 to 5 favourite TWIST OF FATE with Neville Anderson.

LONG PROCESS at 5 to 1 with Carl Morgan was third, while BOJO with James Douthall ended fourth in the 10-horse field.

Meanwhile, COLONEL WALES, with Shane Ellis, won the Abbie Grannum Memorial Cup over 1400 metres, while MELINDAGATA, with Andrew Ramgeet, took the Power Wine Horse-Power-To-The-People Trophy over 1200 metres.

Today’s racemeet is part of the Super Weekend of racing at Caymanas Park which continues tomorrow with the 31st running of the six million-dollar ADL ‘Blanca Neives’ Superstakes over two thousand metres.
