Kemoy Campbell wins 10K

Kemoy Campbell of Bellefied High School won the Burger King 10K in Portmore yesterday, the final race of the Jamdammers Road Race Series.

As a result of the victory, Campbell completed a clean sweep of the 5-race series to win the overall championship with maximum 50 points, ahead of Kirk Brown of Ebony Seek and Sean Pitter.

Campbell won yesterday’s 10K in 31 minutes and 33 seconds, ahead of the unattached Rupert Green, 32 minutes and 30 seconds.

Third place went to Brown, who clocked 32 minutes, 55 seconds.

The women’s section of the 10K yesterday was won by Natoya Goule of Manchester High School who clocked 39 minutes, 3 seconds.

Goule finished ahead of G.C. Foster College’s Stacy Bell, who clocked 40 minutes and 6 seconds.

Bell was crowned overall women’s winner of the series with 45 points, ahead of Twishana Williams of G.C. Foster College and Goule.
