Pakistan take charge against New Zealand

Pakistan have taken charge of the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington, after establishing a 229 runs lead at stumps on day two.

Pakistan, who resumed on 161 for 6, were dismissed for 264 with Kamran Akmal topscoring with 70 and Umar Gul getting 46.

Daryl Tuffey and Captain Daniel Vettori ended with 4 wickets each for New Zealand.

Pakistan then dismissed New Zealand for 99 against the bowling of Paceman, Mohammad Asif 4 for 40 and spinner Danish Kaneria, 3 for 6.

Batting a second time, Pakistan reached 64 for 2 at stumps.

Scores in the game so far are Pakistan 264 and 64 for 2, New Zealand 99.
