No global warming pact
Several Caribbean and developing countries say they will not sign a global warming pact, if they do not get assistance from industrialised nations to deal with the effects of climate change.
The issue was reportedly raised by Caribbean and South Pacific countries at a United Nations conference in Thailand earlier this week.
Small island states have repeatedly warned that they are most vulnerable to rising sea levels linked to climate change.
Barbadian diplomat Selwin Hart said if aid is not part of a global agreement, they have no incentive to be part of it.
