The 2010 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association, ISSA, Boys’ and Girls Athletics Championships, which is scheduled for the National Stadium from March 24-27, will cost just over 30 million dollars to stage.

It will be the 100th staging of the meet and as a result ISSA will try to make it special.

ISSA’s Chairman, Dr Walton Small said the organizers will be attempting to bring the championship to Jamaicans living overseas.

ISSA will have live internet coverage of the four-day meet and also intends to erect large screens at specific points across the United States and the United Kingdom with large Jamaican/Caribbean representation.

ISSA says security cost will account for the bulk of the budget.
