Cavalier wins Confederation Final

Super League team, Cavalier defeated Greenwich Town 1-0 at Constant Spring Oval yesterday to win the final of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association’s Claro Jackie Bell Confederation.

Locksley Thompson scored the all-important goal from the penalty spot in the 84th minute.

The competition will take a break and resume on January 19 with the quarterfinal round. Six Premier League clubs from the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association will join Cavalier and Greenwich Town in that round.

Cavalier have been drawn in Quarter-Final ‘B’ and will open against Waterhouse at Constant Spring Oval on January 20. The other Quarter-Final B game features Tivoli Gardens against Harbour View at Edward Seaga Stadium.

Greenwich Town will play in Quarter-Final ‘A’ on January 19. They will open against Boys’ Town at Tinson Pen, while Arnett Gardens and August Town will face off in the other game at Tony Spaulding Complex.
