England reply to South Africa’s total of 418

England replying to the host’s first innings total of 418 were 88 for 1 at stumps on today’s second day of the opening Test at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Alastair Cook is the batsman back in the pavilion. He was dismissed by Friedel de Wet for 15.

Andrew Strauss 44 and Jonathan Trott 18 are the batsmen at the crease.

Earlier, Jacques Kallis resuming on 112 with the score on 262 for 4, was finally out for 120 his 32nd Test century.

J.P. Duminy supported with 56, Mark Boucher made 49 and Ashwell Prince got 45.

Offspinner Graeme Swann claimed 5 for 110 from 45 point 2 overs for his third five-wicket haul in 13 tests.

Seamer Graham Onions took 3 for 86 from 30 overs, and James Anderson and Stuart Broad picked up one wicket each.
