Jamaica’s 13-man squad is scheduled to depart the country today for St Kitts for the second round of the West Indies Cricket Board regional four-day competition.

The Jamaican selectors have made one change to the squad, which defeated Windward Islands by 6 wickets in their first round match at Chedwin Park in St Catherine yesterday.

Discarded West Indies fast bowler, Daren Powell has replaced Jason Dawes.

Powell was overlooked for the first round because of disciplinary reasons.

The second round starts Friday with Jamaica facing Leeward Islands at Warner Park.

Jamaica were led to victory over Windward Islands during yesterday’s final day by Brendan Nash, who stroked 44 not out.

Chasing 98 for victory, the Jamaicans reached their target about 35 minutes, before the scheduled lunch interval, when Nash turned a delivery from Liam Sebastien into the leg-side for a single.

The Jamaicans had resumed yesterday on 20 for 2.

Jamaica’s leg-spinner, Nikita Miller was named Man of the Match for his match haul of 9 for 99.

Final scores in the match were Windward Islands 181 and 251, Jamaica 335 and 98 for 4.
