Jamaican defender Damion Stewart hit a late goal for Queens Park Rangers yesterday but the London club plunged to a 3-2 loss to Sheffield United and exited the FA Cup.

Sheffield United led the third round fixture 3-0 midway the second half at Queens Park Ranger’s Loftus Road Stadium and held off a late rally from the home side to book a fourth round spot.

Stewart netted the game’s last goal two minutes from the end.

He struck with a header in the 88th minute, connecting on an Akos Buzsacky free-kick.
