Jamaica’s parliament pays tribute to Rex Nettleford

Parliamentarians this afternoon paid tribute to the life and work of late UWI vice chancellor emeritus, Professor Rex Nettleford.

The business of the House was suspended to allow Members to reflect on the work of the cultural ambassador, academic, trade unionist and philanthropist.

Tributes are also to be presented by specially invited guests of Parliament, former Prime Ministers, Edward Seaga and PJ Patterson, Former UWI Chancellor, Sir Shridath Ramphal and current Chancellor, Sir George Alleyne.
