Saints beat Buccaneers

St. Catherine Saints recorded a six-wicket victory over Trelawny Buccaneers at Chedwin Park yesterday to remain on top of the Jamaica Super League cricket competition after five round of matches.



Chasing a victory target of 134 in 18 overs, St. Catherine Saints won with 2.4 overs to spare.



Danza Hyatt top scored for St. Catherine Saints with 35 from 15 balls.



Lorenzo Ingram made 96 in Trelawny Buccaneers’ second innings score of 290. Spinner Odean Brown took four for 73 and Gavin Wallace two for 39 to lead St. Catherine Saints’ attack.



Kingston Kangaroos, behind centuries from Brendan Nash, 128, and Kemar Roach, 105, secured first innings points over the Jamaica Defence Force Brigades.



Manchester Lions took first innings points from Westmoreland Wizards. Manchester were 64 for two in its second innings when rain stopped play.
