The Meteorological Service reported that weather conditions should start deteriorating tomorrow, as a tropical storm moves close to Jamaica.

At 4:00 am Tuesday morning, the centre of Tropical Storm Olga was located at 95 kilometres west of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Meteorological Service said the system is moving towards the west near 28-kilometres per hour and this general motion is expected to continue for the next 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 75 kilometers per hour with higher gusts.

However, the system is expected to weaken once it passes over the Dominican Republic.

It is projected to further weakens as it moves near Jamaica causing heavy showers and thunderstorms starting sometime tomorrow.
