Earthquake hits Afghanistan
At least 11 people were killed and more than 70 injured when a 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook parts of northern Afghanistan.
The quake is said to have hit just before midnight local time on Sunday.
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The Associated Press news agency reports that it was felt in Kabul and the neighbouring countries of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Officials say the death toll is expected to rise.
