The United States says there are currently no indicators that lead the US Coast Guard to believe Haitian migrants are taking to the sea in increased numbers.

The statement came in a news release which said that a coast guard vessel had repatriated 90 Haitian migrants to Cap Haitien in northern Haiti yesterday.

It said they had been located at sea on Tuesday in a grossly-overloaded boat.

The statement also reiterated that all Haitian migrants intercepted at sea will be returned to areas relatively affected by January\'s earthquake.
