Innswood pile up 285

Defending champions St Elizabeth Technical High School, will resume today on 26 without loss chasing Innswood High’s total of 285 in the three-day Spalding Cup playoff in Santa Cruz.

On yesterday’s opening day, Orane Williams 67 and Peat Salmon 60 put on 112 for the opening wicket to set a good foundation for Innswood High.

Kemar Foster then scored 79 to carry the Grace Shield and Limited Overs Knockout champions to 285.

Right-arm spinner Donovan Nelson was the most successful bowler for STETHS with eight for 91, while Brian Gayle chipped in with two wickets.

The schools are searching for three titles this season.
