Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz suffered a 2-0 defeat to 2010 FIFA World Cup hosts, South Africa, in a friendly international at Kickers Offenbach Stadium in Frankfurt, Germany today.

Jamaica, last-minute replacements for China, faded after failing to convert a few first-half chances.

Veteran striker, Surprise Moriri, put South Africa ahead in the 51st minute and

Siyabonga Nomvete added a second five minutes from full-time, when he slammed the ball wide of goalkeeper Dwayne Kerr into the net.

The match was the fourth international between the teams, with the three previous matches drawn and delivering only two goals.

The Jamaicans arrived in Germany via the United States just 10 hours before the kick-off, with a squad including only one overseas-based player, San Jose Earthquakes striker, Ryan Johnson.

South Africa also fielded a team of mostly home-based players.
