Investigators from Operation Kingfish have recovered another firearm at the scene, where three members of the notorious Stone Crusher gang were killed today in Moneague, St Ann.

Investigators believe the firearm may be that of another policeman who was killed in Montego Bay, St James.

The three men were killed just after 1 am in a reported shootout with members of a joint police/military team at the Moneague Housing Scheme.

One of the men has been identified only as Damian, who investigators reported was wanted in connection with the murder of Sergeant Allan Lindsay in St James, two weeks ago.

Up to newstime the other two men were still unidentified.

The police also seized three firearms during the operation. They believe one of the guns belonged to Sergeant Lindsay. The police also found a bulletproof vest belonging to Sergeant Lindsay at the scene.
