The Transport Minister Mike Henry says he will soon make a submission to the Cabinet on the development of Vernamfield in Clarendon.

Henry says the much-touted plans will include the extension of the airstrip as well as establishing an aero-space college.

He says this forms part of the government’s proposal to turn Vernamfield into a Caribbean aerodrome hub capable of accommodating the largest cargo and commercial aeroplanes.

The transport minister says the college will allow Jamaica to train persons for job opportunities in aerospace technologies.
